After a project of analysing the customers polishing processes and testing/tweaking several trials, we managed to improve the surface finish dramatically on human implants (knee trays). Our special polyurethane bonded products gave an extended tool life, a consistently improved surface finish thus reducing re-work and scrap rates.

Working closely with the customer and R&D department in Atlantic over a 2 year period, we developed a new fine grit silicon carbide grinding wheel to vastly improve the process of grinding needles (OD and facets), reducing the customers wheel consumption by approx. 70% and reducing the potential of burr and burn.

The microfinishing process of industrial cranks is crucial. We were pleased to be given the opportunity to test our specially developed quality and geometry of microfinishing film for their application. The film proved successful reducing crank inspection time and therefore cost. We are proud to supply such a well-known company in the market.
