Mounted points are used predominantly for fettling, deburring and grinding of weld seams and castings. A large range of sizes, shapes and qualities are available to ensure the right tool for your workpiece. Our mounted points can be supplied with resin bond to ensure high stock removal rates and long tool life. This bond is particularly suited to applications in which stock must be removed at a high rate – rough grinding. Our mounted points can also be supplied with vitrified bond for improved tool life and surface finish measurements. This bond is particularly suited to applications in which tool life is critical and an improved surface finish is required – Fine grinding.
We hold an extensive range of mounted points both in our warehouse in Colchester and Germany. Stock from Colchester can be supplied on a next day delivery. Stock from Germany can be supplied within 7 – 10 days or sooner in urgent cases.
In addition to our wide range of mounted points available from stock, we are also able to develop and manufacture specific shapes, sizes and qualities to meet your application requirements. This includes the possibility of special grain mixtures, extended shank lengths and profiles as per your request. In order to determine the correct quality for your application, we simply require your grinding parameters i.e. workpiece, workpiece material, workpiece hardness etc.

Nut-inserted cones are used predominantly for fettling, deburring and grinding of castings. Various qualities are available to meet your specific application requirements. All thread types are available which include but are not limited to M14, 5/8”, ½” & 3/8”.
Nut-inserted cone qualities are most commonly manufactured using regular Aluminium Oxide, coarse grit and resin or vitrified bonding systems. However, with our wide range of grain types and mixtures available, we can develop and manufacture to your specific requirements. In order to determine the correct quality for your application, we simply require your grinding parameters i.e. workpiece, workpiece material, workpiece hardness etc.
Nut-inserted cones are manufactured within 6 – 8 weeks or sooner in urgent cases. Limited stock is held in Colchester, as much of our stock is manufactured specifically to our customers requirement and the goods are contracted to their plant only. However, in urgent cases we may be able to assist with next day deliveries.
